White Sox 11, Blue Jays 5 - Yahoo Sports

In the White Sox's previous six games, they'd hit just .206 with six home runs and 13 runs scored. They went 2-6 in those games and averaged only 1.6 runs per game. They eclipsed that mark before making their first out of the game against the Blue Jays (64-59), who've now dropped four straight games and 10 of their past 13. Hector Noesi (7-8), who threw 100 pitches, started for the White Sox and picked up the win. Aided by all the run support, he won for the fourth time in his past six starts by going five innings and allowing five runs and eight hits. The first five hitters in Chicago's lineup each finished with multi-hit games, led by rookie first baseman Jose Abreu (3-for-5, three RBIs), designated hitter Adam Dunn (3-for-5, two RBIs) and right fielder Dayan Viciedo (2-for-3, two RBIs). Leadoff hitter Alejandro De Aza went 2-for-4 and scored two runs while filling in for usual leadoff hitter Adam Eaton -- who's on the 15-day disabled list with an oblique injury.

Joe Strummer's car up for auction - CNN.com

"If that Ramones record hadn't existed, I don't know if we could have built a scene here," the Clash's Joe Strummer once said. Their rise was slower, but no less influential, in their home country. Equal parts provocateurs, fashion victims and three-chord howlers, the Sex Pistols kicked off their meteoric rise with their angry "Anarchy in the UK" and a number of controversial media appearances. The band made just one studio album, but its echoes still reverberate. The name could be taken literally: Joe Strummer, Mick Jones, Paul Simonon and Terry Chimes (and later Topper Headon) really did have disparate musical tastes. But they shared a fire fueled by politics and music. It made for five terrific studio albums, highlighted by songs such as "White Riot," "London Calling" and "The Magnificent Seven," and an unparalleled live 1960 fashion act.

Desoto Times Tribune > News > Local > Fashion Show set for May 31

NYC-based fashion blogger Dana Suchow of Do The Hotpants made that realization of having photos that are too perfect and has decided to lift that veil on her perceived perfectionby releasing a few of her unretouched style shots alongside the photoshopped ones. In her post called Photos I Wish I Didnt Photoshop, Suchow says she wants to lift the veil that is currently suffocating us women and she laments that she hasnt been fully truthful with her readers. Ive decided to expose the instances where I usedphotoshopto distort and change my body.I know it might only look like an inch or 2removed from my waist, or a couple zits blurred here and there, but my stomach and my skin have beenhuge insecurities for me my entire life. So me revealing these images to you are a HUGE DEAL 4 ME & not to be taken lightly. Im putting my flaws out there, as little or as big as they seem, so please respect that this isnt easy for anyone. This was a super cool move on Dana Suchows part and we hope other bloggers join her in removing the veil.
